Important booking information

Please call us if you are running later than 5 minutes after your booked time.
We have a 15-minute grace period.

We may need contact you, so please ensure your email and phone number is up to date.

By making a reservation at The Case, you agree to re-confirm your booking 24 hours, or more, prior to your arrival. You will be sent an email requesting confirmation of your reservation, and should follow the link provided in the email. If the reservation remains unconfirmed on the day of your reservation, The Case reserves the right to cancel your booking without further notice.

Cancellation Policy

Please notify us as soon as possible, if you need to cancel, or change your reservation. We would appreciate your confirmation by email.

We will provide a full refund, if you cancel 72 hours prior to your reservation.

We will charge a £5 administration fee, if you cancel 48 hours prior of your reservation and for cancellations 24 hours prior to your reservation, you will receive a 50% refund.

If you make a reservation within the 72 hour cancellation period, you will need to cancel within 12 hours, to secure a 50% refund.

We’re proud of our intimate customer relationship and when we receive cancellation notifications, we will, where possible, try our best to resell tables and refund in total.

Clearly, we can exercise discretion in light of difficult personal circumstances. 

Securing a Party booking or Event

A holding deposit is required to secure all events/parties.  Deposits are redeemable against the bill on the day.

All private events/parties are subject to a minimum spend, which are agreed with The Case at the time of booking.  The maximum number of guests attending and any additional room hire fees will be agreed at the same time.

The minimum spend is a flat fee and must be met. In any circumstances where the minimum spend is not met, the difference will be added to your final bill.

Final numbers must be confirmed 4 weeks prior to and menu choices and 2 weeks prior to your reservation. No changes will be accepted within 7 days of your reservation.

November & December bookings only. Final numbers must be confirmed 8 weeks prior to and menu choices 4 weeks prior to your reservation.   No changes will be accepted within 14 days of your reservation.

Any cancellations, or reductions in numbers will be charged at the full price menu rate for the total number of guests stated in the most recent correspondence.

Please make sure you and your guests arrive on time. Should any of your guests be running late, we will start the meal at the agreed time, in order to ensure a smooth experience for the rest of the group and for other customers.

The organiser will be responsible for payment of any damages to the The Case, furnishings or equipment.

Payment

Cash and most major credit cards are accepted, Company cheques are accepted with prior arrangement. We accept a maximum of 4 separate card payments on the day for the bill. We do not accept multiple cheques.

Invoicing is by prior arrangement only. All our prices are inclusive of VAT and exclude a 10% optional service charge, which will be added to the final bill.  The staff will receive the whole of any service charge.

Any outstanding accounts will become the responsibility of the event organiser, or host, for settlement.

Cancellation Policy:

We will refund 50% of your deposit, if you cancel 1 month prior to your booking.  For November/December bookings, we require 2 months notice.

If you cancel within 7 days of the party/event, you will be charged the full minimum spend.

In the unlikely situation, where we need to cancel your reservation, a full refund of all pre-payments will be made. The restaurant will make every endeavour to rebook the reservation at a mutually convenient date and time. The Case cannot be held liable for any travel, or accommodation costs, in relation to a cancellation.

Restaurant & Bar

Due to the age of our building and lack of ground floor footprint, we have no lift access to the 1st floor restaurant, private room or bar facilities

The Case dress code is smart casual. We are unable to allow dogs in the bar or restaurant. However, Registered Assistance Dogs are, of course, welcome.

No Hen/stag bookings or Fancy Dress please.  Unless you’re inquiring about a private dinner party

Please no decorations such as banners, table confetti or poppers

No outside food or beverages, other than birthday cake is permitted on the premises

In the interests of safety, if you leave the building to smoke, please do not take any glassware, or drinks outside with you due to spillage, or breakage.

Restaurant

For parties over 8, we agree an edited pre~order menu, or on the day, a 3 or 4 course menu. The maximum party size is 12 on a Friday & Saturday.  For larger parties, we offer the Private Room.

Children under the age of 18 are very welcome, as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Please do count them (including babies) into your final party numbers. Our children’s menu is available every lunch and 5pm until 6.30pm in the evening.

Bar

No children under the age of 18. Acceptable identification: – a driving licence, a passport, or a form of ID approved by the Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS)

We have tables of 2 and up to 4 guests in our outside courtyard. Within the bar, tables elevate to a maximum of 6 and the largest 8 in the basement Snug
